The impact of a good job can be immeasurable.
When I was kid, my mom (who was a single mom of two young boys at the time), got a job as a receptionist through the local Snelling Staffing in Akron, Ohio.
They placed her at Smithers on West Market Street in Akron. It wasn’t long before that Receptionist turned into the Lab Coordinator. And eventually that Lab Coordinator went on to work at The University of Akron, where my brother and I would have the benefit of a (nearly) free college education.
That education landed me in Houston, where I eventually would end up working for, you guessed it, the local Snelling Staffing. Except the Snelling office in Houston didn’t place me with one of their clients, they hired me as an entry-level recruiter.
A lot has changed since then, now Morgan Bonnell and I own the Snelling Staffing in Houston along with a direct hire recruiting firm with national reach across multiple different industries… Morgan Benjamin Search Group.
I’m passionate about good jobs because I’ve experienced the impact that one can have not just on a person, but on their family, and their community.
A person like my mom, with those two young boys. And communities just like the ones that our businesses serve across the US.
