Our Team

For anyone who’s new to my network or needs a re–introduction—I’m George Butler. I’m proud to serve as VP at Morgan Benjamin Search Group, where every day is a learning experience as I help drive our growth. I’ve been with MBSG for almost three years now, coming from nearly 20 years in retail, including 11 at Apple. Recruiting, like retail, isn’t a career you necessarily plan for—but once I got started, I was hooked!

A bit about me: I’m half Dominican, grew up in Chicago (which explains my loyalty to the Bears, despite the rollercoaster it is), and moved to Houston at ten. Spanish was my first language, and I share as much of my Dominican heritage as possible with my daughters.

Outside of work, I train in jiu-jitsu four times a week (6 a.m. class—yes, it’s intense), run, and lift weights. But my favorite time is with my family. We’re avid skiers, and we’ve hit the slopes every year since my youngest was one. Travel, new adventures, and being with my family from sunrise to sunset are what I live for.

My ultimate motivation is freedom—freedom to keep up with my family’s adventures for decades to come. That means working hard today to enjoy a fulfilling retirement tomorrow, staying active so I can ski with future grandkids, and growing in faith, as it’s central to my family’s life. I’m also passionate about supporting The Deliver Fund, fighting against human trafficking and child exploitation.

Fun fact: I’m a bit of a “Lord of the Rings” superfan, rereading it every year. My oldest daughter and I also bond over Harry Potter, though this year, she whispered, “Dad, I think LOTR is better than Harry Potter.” Just made my year!
